About the campaign
AML is an aggressive form of cancer of the blood and bone marrow and has a high mortality rate, especially in adults.
By Sunday night the 14th Cammie, her husband Jared and 14 month old son Michael were on their way to Houston where they would meet with doctors to begin formulating a treatment plan for Cammie. The doctors plans were to let Logan grow at least another 3 weeks for a better outcome and they would continue to monitor Cammie's lab values.
Logan was born July 30th, at 33 weeks gestation weighting 4lbs 14oz via c-section. Logan has done great and is growing well. For that they are truly thankful. Logan is still in NICU at Texas Children's Hospital.
Cammie was transferred to MD Anderson Hospital where the treatment team would begin finalizing treatment plans for Cammie. She started chemo on August 7th and will be continuing for the next 4-6 weeks.
The family of 4 is now together and will be staying in Houston for another 4 weeks for Cammie’s treatments. Logan is growing and doing great! Cammie will not be able to work and the family will incur extra costs while away such as food, travel, and other miscellaneous expenses.
Cammie and Jared need first and foremost our prayers for healing and that their little family will be able to be back together soon. I know we all want to help in some way and here is a great way to do so! The orange color of band and font on mug was chosen by Cammie because orange represents Leukemia. The bands are to serve as a reminder to pray for Cammie and her boys!
Thank you for your support!
